Archdiocese of India - Elevation to Archdeacon

The Assyrian Church of the East is pleased to announce that on the 16th of January in the Church of St. John the Baptist in East Fort, India both Rev. Joju Antony Chirakkekaran and Rev. Shaju Poulose Pachamparambil were elevated to the rank of Archdeacon by His Beatitude Dr. Mar Aprem, Metropolitan of India, in preparation for their consecration as Bishops in the coming days.
 
On the same day, Metropolitans and Bishops of the Assyrian Church of the East consecrated the Eucharistic Liturgy in various churches; which are as follows:

H.B. Mar Meelis Zaia AM in Mar Themotheus Church in Nellikkunnu
H.G. Mar Emmanuel Yosip in Mar Addai Sheekha Church in Paravattani
H.G. Mar Odisho Oraham in Mar Aprem Church in Chelakkottukara
H.G. Mar Iskhaq Yosip in Mar Narsai Church in Nadathara
H.G. Mar Awa Royel at Marth Mariam Big Church in Thrissur
H.G. Mar Aprem Natneil at Mar Mari Sleekha Church in Kuriachira
